On October 12, 2013, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania participated in the first Brocathalon - the one running event that allows you to experience the best of a city in 5K! People from Pittsburgh, and around the country, participated in events that showcased what makes the city great.
It was held at Settler's Cabin Park in Pittsburgh, and incorporated challenges that highlighted the city's best food and cherished icons. Plus, Steelers Super Bowl Champion Justin Hartwig emceed the event and greeted runners at the finish line for a post race party featuring the best food and fun from the City of Champions.
You know what else? You were also helping out a great cause, as a portion of the proceeds from the Brocathalon were donated to locally founded charities, including the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation and Urban Impact Foundation.
We'll be announcing information for next year's event soon, and we'll be taking it across the country - so get ready! In the meantime, you can check out some of the events we had at the 2013 event on the site.
